2 more AK-56 recovered near Dimakuchi in Udalguri: Following the recovery of 4 AK-46 rifles and arrest of six ex BLT cadre at Simaluguri village under Paneri police station in Udalguri district on September 18, Udalguri police headed by Nirupam Hazarika, SDPO, Bhergaon and Mighty Fine Gunners of Red Horns Division, Borongajuli camp recovered two more AK-56 rifles at Sonajuli village under Dimakuchi police station last night on September 19.Peace loving people of the district expressed serious concern at the availability of illegal arms in the hands of antisocial elements in BTAD.

Mighty Fine apprehended 6 with 4 AK-47 in Udalguri

The recovery of 4 AK-47 rifles and arrest of 6 extremists at Simaluguri village under Paneri police station in Udalguri district has created sensation in the state. The recovery and arrest was made in a joint operation of Army's Mighty Fine Gunners of Red Horns Division and Bhergaon police. Army and police guided by Lt.Col. Basappa of Borangajuli Army camp and Nirupam Hazarika,SDPO, Bhergaon had launched the search operation at 11 pm on 18 September and recovered three AK-56 rifles, three magazines and 57 rounds and then recovered the fourth AK-56 rifle along with a magazine and eight more rounds from a house in the neighborhood. Arrested persons were Deepak Daimari (35); Putul Boro.(46); Haitha Boro (30); Jaleshwar Boro (25) and Bipul Boro (25). Two ladies namely Kabuli Daimari and Assari Daimari were also arrested for interrogation. The apprehensions and recoveries are a major breakthrough for the Army and Police in the district. Army suspected all to be linked with NDFB (AT) but Deepak Daimari told media that they had been members of BLT,who did not deposit arms to government. The incident has proved availability of sophisticated arms and ammunitions in the hands of anti social elements in the district causing danger to society.

Decomposed missing body found.4 arrested.Situation tense in Udalguri and Darrang

The decomposed body of Krishna Kanta Boro (42) who had been missing since August 28 night was found at Fasi Dalong,Bhakatpara near Kalaigaon on August 6 at 1.30 PM. The incident has created sensation in both Udalguri and Darrang district. It needs mention that the Bodo villager of Teteli Bhanguri village under Kalaigaon police station had been missing since August 28 night. According to information, Krishna Kanta Boro was returning home and was missing from Amba Chouk point near Kalaigaon at around 10 pm. Police and para military search was on to trace him. Police picked up nine suspected persons on September 5 in this connection. Interrogation lead to final arrest of four persons namely -Mossa Ali(23),Tuta Miyan (25),Askar Ali (43) and Jiyarul Haque (25). According to their confession, the victim had been abducted at Teteli Bhanguri village and was brutally killed somewhere near Bhakatpara (5 KM away)and was buried in a paddy field in the same night. Deputy Commissioner and SP Udalguri have visited the place to supervise the operation. Situation turned to tense after the recovery of the decomposed body. Peace loving people of Udalguri have urged the administration to enforce law and order at any cost.
